Suspect Modem & new controller is taken to close location as per the drawing and connected as shown

The door-access-control PC / Software is programmed to dial the adjacent close proximity phone socket allowing testing of the correct setting of the remote Modem & the controller

After tests prove sucessful locally. The PC is programmed with the remote phone socket phone number then the Modem & Controller fitted remotely and finally tested
